Volunteer FAQ
Join our Volunteer Team!
Genesee Fire Rescue relies upon dedicated volunteers to serve our community.
Have you ever wanted to volunteer, but didn't know how to get started? Maybe you have the desire, but don't think you have the time, so it stays on the back burner.
Most of the members have full time jobs in addition to their volunteer activities with the fire department. It is not just fun; it is a calling to serve the GFPD community.
We have included below a list of Frequently Asked Questions to provide more information about the opportunity to serve and help your community with Genesee Fire Rescue! If you have additional questions, please contact us at recruiting@geneseefire.org.

No! GFR provides all of the necessary training at no cost to you!
· Do GFR volunteer firefighters have to work specific shifts?
