Volunteer Opportunity Night
Have you ever wanted to volunteer, but didn't know how to get started? Maybe it was a New Year's resolution for you this year. Maybe you have the desire, but don't think you have the time, so it stays on the back burner.
As part of the Genesee Fire Protection District, your local Genesee Fire Department has partnered with various local charities, and will be hosting a Volunteer Opportunity Night on Tuesday, March 28th from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Fire Station, 23455 Currant Drive.
Can't attend in person? Use the Zoom link.
It will be a night of learning how to give back!
Getting started as a community volunteer is easy and can be a fulfilling experience. The charities research and coordination have been done for you!
Simply show up to the Volunteer Opportunity Night event, see which charities pique your interest, and add your name to the contact list for emails about upcoming volunteer opportunities. If an opportunity works for you, simply RSVP and show up! Volunteering opportunities will be available from time to time in the coming months. Give as much or as little time as you like.
Other opportunities exist at the event, too. Learn more about becoming a firefighter, getting involved with the non-firefighter Auxiliary Group, and being a Neighborhood Ambassador for your plan unit.
Remember, volunteering doesn't have to take up a lot of time. Even a small commitment can make a big impact. What better way to get to know your firefighters and Genesee neighbors, while also helping those in need?
